Course: Advanced Combat Handgun
The TOSS ADVANCED COMBAT HANDGUN course is designed to teach police officers proper response to the use of the handgun when faced with combat situations. The handgun is covered from basic applications to advanced use in both offensive and defensive law enforcement situations. Accuracy, speed, recoil management combat loading are learned through various shooting drills. Multiple threats, movements, body positions along with proper cover use are covered. The legal aspects of when to use, justification of the use and the aftermath of officer involved shooting situations from a civil and criminal basis are presented for student knowledge and for the students application to individual departmental policy.
