Defensive Tactics -  Monthly Training (Beginner/Intermediate Levels)
Like the four (4) hour PTC Mandated Defensive Tactics Course, this training will cover techniques necessary to effectively manage physical confrontations while ensuring personal safety and minimizing harm to others.  Participants will learn practical, evidence-based defensive strategies that emphasize de-escalation, control, and situational awareness.  This course will focus on control holds, pressure points, takedowns, and ground fighting.
 
This additional monthly training provides officers the opportunity to practice their skills and enhance their defensive techniques.  This training is designed for those at a beginner and/or intermediate level looking to advance their skills.  THIS TRAINING IS OPEN TO SOMERSET COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES ONLY.
 
Location: Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Police Training Institute located in the Emergency Services Training Academy (ESTA) 402 Roycefield Road, Hillsborough, NJ 08844
