Course: Basic Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Investigation Course
Course Description: This is a one-day course designed for both uniform and investigative personnel responsible for child physical and sexual abuse investigations, adult sexual assault investigations, as well as investigations involving special needs victims. Detectives will be instructed on various elements of these investigations including initial response, DCP&P involvement, forensic interviewing, fresh complaint statements, consensual overhears, the SANE program, and suspect interviewing. This course will include classroom instruction and a case presentation.
