Basic Criminal Investigation Course
Course Description: This three-day course aims to provide law enforcement officers and new investigators with the necessary skills needed to understand and conduct basic criminal investigations. This course will cover Report Writing & Testimony, Miranda Hearings & Motion to Suppress, Search Warrants, CDW’s, Subpoenas, Municipal Level Investigations, Case Studies & Analysis, Crime Scene & Fire Investigations, Scene Security, Scene Sketching & Diagraming, Basic Photography, Evidence Collection & Preservation, Bloodstain Pattern Recognition & Documentation, and Dusting & Lifting. This course will also use practical exercises to help investigators have a better understanding of the techniques used out in the field.
