NJ CERTIFIED ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER COURSE (ONLINE VIA ZOOM)
COURSE OVERVIEW:
The Somerset County Police Academy is once again partnering with Career Development Institute to offer the NJ Certified Animal Control Officers Course approved by the New Jersey Department of Health.
This course meets the requirements of N.J.A.C. 8:23A-2.2. Successful completion of this course is required to be appointed as an Animal Control Officer by a New Jersey Municipality. Additionally, graduates are also certified in Pet First Aid and in Incident Command Systems 100 and 700, Enrollment is open to any person 18 years of age or older.
You will have the opportunity to be taught by, interact with, and build relationships with six (6) of the foremost experts in the State of New Jersey regarding animal control and welfare. Faculty bios, course content and online registration information can be found at http://www.cditraining.org. There is no requirement for prior experience or training to attend this course. Anyone interested in animal welfare personally or as a profession should attend.
Classes will be held 7 days from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. Completion of the course requires attendance at all classes. In addition to this classroom component participants must arrange for and complete a 20-hour field training component.
COST:
Tuition for this program is $989, which includes all materials.
